Community Gardens Film Screening on April 17

Local filmmaker Cintia Cabib will be screening a work-in-progress of her documentary “A Community of Gardeners” at the Arlington Central Library Auditorium on Saturday, April 17, at 2 p.m.  The event is free and will include a filmmaker Q & A after the screening.  The Arlington Central Library is located at 1015 North Quincy St. in Arlington, Virginia, three blocks from the Ballston Metro station on the Orange line.

“A Community of Gardeners” focuses on the people who grow fruits and vegetables at seven community gardens in Washington, D.C. and shows how these gardens have changed their lives, their neighborhoods and their environment.  The projected completion date for the film is fall 2010.  Visit the Web site to watch the trailer, see the photo gallery and sign up for news and updates.  You can also become a Facebook fan here.
